MBox ("the App") is developed and operated by Jacob Ko (admin@jacobko.app). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Information We Collect
MBox does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. The App does not require account registration or login.
Movie data displayed in the App is fetched from The Movie Database (TMDB) public API. No personal data is sent to TMDB.
Your saved movie list (My List) is stored exclusively on your device using Apple Core Data and is never transmitted to any server.
Advertising – Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain device information to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, including:
- Advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID)
- IP address (for approximate location)
- Device type, operating system version
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
This data is processed by Google LLC in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time in your device settings under Privacy → Apple Advertising.

Data Retention
Since MBox does not collect personal data on its servers, there is no server-side data to retain or delete. Your locally saved list can be removed by uninstalling the App.
Children's Privacy
MBox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at admin@jacobko.app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
